Australian Nationals: Results

What a weekend down in Melbourne the team had competing at the Australian Nationals. Everyone did an amazing job, awesome display of Jiu Jitsu by all the competitors. The team came away with some great results.

Professor Fabio collected 3 golds - Gi Weight & Absolute and No Gi Weight. Once again, dominating his divisions here in Australia and around the world. Our brown belt coaches, Paulo (Gold) & Renan (Silver) had some very tough fights in their gi weight divisions earning their spot on the podium. Unfortunately, Mel was unable to advance her way in a very tough bracket, she fought so well, but it wasn't her day.

Our Toowoomba crew put on a show with Jamil earning a silver medal and young Keely claiming a bronze medal whilst Lily finished in the second place. Both girls did a great job considering it was their first time competing at the National Championship. Brad and Emmanuel had some good hard fought matches but were unsuccessful in advancing to the final rounds.

Another great competition with the team giving it 100% and leaving it all on the mats. That's what it's all about, going out their and testing yourself and becoming better people in Jiu Jitsu and in everyday life. As always at Galeb Brothers BJJ, we lead by example.
