Masters World Championship

Professor Fabio & blue belt student Brent Smith completed the 14 hour flight over to USA to compete in the IBJJF Masters World Championship last week. This is the biggest event in the world for the old dogs of BJJ. A lot of knowledge and hard work is seen at this competition making it one of the best. A huge shoutout to Peter Andros for taking part in the trip to show his support for the team.

Professor Fabio led the way on Wednesday to try his luck within the 25-man black belt division. Winning his first match by submission to then lose a close semi final by points. Once again proving he is among the most elite black belts in the world. Congratulations Professor, an amazing achievement and effort to represent the team and empire you have built over in America on the world stage. We are all so proud of you!

Brent Smith who recently was promoted to blue belt after his dominant performance at the QLD State Championship saw him attempt to get through the 19-man blue belt heavyweight division. After winning his first two fights, he lost the quarter finals to a referee's decision. Amazing results nonetheless. Congratulations Brent - first competition as a blue belt & against the best in the world.
