Black Belt Grading Day

On Saturday the 5th of October, coaches, students, families and friends all headed down to our Galeb Brothers BJJ headquarters to our Black Belt grading day, to celebrate the promotion of our coaches and team mates.

Our new Black Belts -

Dean, who trains out of our Gold Coast academy, was one of Professor Fabio's original students, and Fabio's first student to go from White belt through to Black belt! Greg, who trains out of our Southside academy, started training with Fabio as a blue belt in 2014, and just this year competed in the Australian National Championships in Melbourne, taking out the brown belt division and ended with 3 golds. Paulo came to Australia from Brazil in December 2015 as a purple belt, and coaches both adult and childrens classes at our Southside academy and regularly competes locally, nationally, and internationally proudly representing Galeb Brothers BJJ.

Purple Belts -

Steve, who trains out of our Southside academy, has been training with Fabio for 3.5 years. Steve was encouraged to start training as his two daughters Evelyn and Sarah were training by Professor Marcelo. He has always been a great role model and consistent student who always turns up to training, and always attends competitions to support our team!
