First Competition of 2020 in the books!

Last weekend, Professor Fabio, Sean, Winnie & Jess flew south to Melbourne to compete in the Abu Dhabi National Pro on Sunday, 1st of February. This is apart of the 2019-2020 season of the UAEJJF were competitors attempt to win themselves the free travel package to the Abu Dhabi World Championships held in April 2020.

The team had a great day at the competition, Professor Fabio & Sean both taking home silver medals in the Gi division and having very tough matches. Winnie competed in both Gi & No Gi, but was unable to secure a podium spot after some very close matches. However, Jess from Galeb Brothers Toowoomba managed to bring home a gold medal, winning her final with an arm bar.

A great day of competing with a lot of lessons learned and memories made. We are back to training this week to prepare for the next competitions throughout the month of February.

This is just the start of a very busy 2020 and we cant wait to see what we can achieve this year.
