Team Champions & Byron Bay Australian Open

SOUTH EAST QLD CHAMPIONSHIP

Starting off the month of February was the South East QLD Championship, held at Carrara Indoor Stadium. This was the first competition of the 2020 Queensland BJJ Circuit and team Galeb Brothers BJJ ended the awesome day with the best team trophy.

We had students from our kids, juniors & adult classes competing on the day and we had some great results from all competitors.

However, that's not the only competition this month, over the weekend we had the BJJ Australian Open held in Byron Bay and it was another great performance by the competitors of Galeb Brothers BJJ.

We had a total of 28 wins with some stellar performances from our students, one in particular was Jack Willsher from Galeb Brothers Gold Coast. Jack competed in all 4 divisions, Gi & No Gi weight and open weight divisions, with a total of 10 fights for the day and 8 rear naked choke submissions, easily the stand out performance from the competition.
