Three Competitions, One Weekend

It was a very busy weekend for the Galeb Brothers BJJ family, with three different competitions that took place, here are the results.

It started on Saturday night, with Professor Fabio headlining the main event of the very first Fight Night Championship at Quality Hotel, Mermaid Waters. After a tough 20 minute battle with Uros Culic, the decision came to a draw, as the format was submission only. However, Professor Fabio put on a show for the home crowd and making it an exciting match for the fans.

On Sunday, the team made the 2 hour drive up to the Sunshine Coast to compete and although we had a small number of competitors then usual, we still made an impact on the mats and podium. From the kids to our adult students, we are so proud of them all for getting out there and testing themselves on the competition mat. Check out some awesome photos from the day below.

Professor Fabio's weekend wasn't over yet, as he was on his way down to Sydney to compete in the Subversion Jiu jitsu Invitational on Sunday night. Professor was apart of Team Global Skunkworks and after some tough matches they came away with the gold. Congratulations!

A very busy and eventful weekend for the team, back to training this week to keep on improving our skills and preparing for the next competitions that await. Congratulations to all competitors and thank you to all of our team mates, friends & families that come along to support, we can't do it without you!
